This position is based in the following office location:
Manchester, NHThe opportunity
Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education, you will provide administrative support to students on course/program requirements. You will also liaise between the IEP and supporting campus offices, develop and implement cocurricular programming to promote an intensive English language learning environment during the day, develop and implement cocurricular programs for occasional; evenings and weekends, and administer/proctor all required English assessments and exit exams (e.g. TOEFL –ITP and TOEFL-IBT).
What you'll do:
- Coordinate all inbound international ESOL student orientations in close collaboration with ISS (International Student Support)
- Administer/proctor English placement testing and TOEFL-ITP exit testing for ESOL students observing university admissions and academic guidelines and reports results to all relevant offices.
- Obtain licenses, procurement, and distribution of all instructional technology and testing programs (e.g. Pearson products, English USA).
- Be a primary academic advisor of all IEP ESL students, ensuring compliance with IEP attendance policies, visa requirements, and scholastic standing.
- Coordinate with Academic Advising Office, Wellness, and Student Financial Services
- Help with report writing, analysis, and distribution (i.e., assessment, accreditation reports, NH licensing documentation).
- Support the Department Chair in the planning and scheduling of course schedules and faculty assignments.
- Coordinate the annual Biesek-Smith ESOL scholarship selection and celebration.
- Plan and run cultural programming for students
- Partner with campus organizations to run events with the broader student community (i.e. Humanities Festival, International Education Week).
- Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential functions of this role
- Other responsibilities as assigned
What we're looking for:
- 1+ years in program management, High School or Collegiate ESOL, ESOL Adult Education, or Immigrant and Refugee Services/ Education, or related field, and with previous academic operations experience, preferably with international learners.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (TESOL, TEFL, English Education) or equivalent of experience in lieu of degree
- Advanced technological skills, in spreadsheets, SIS and database management, and willingness to adopt new technologies to achieve greater efficiency
- Organize departmental processes and personnel

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $21.89 - $35.03. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $24.19 - $32.73.
