The opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Marketing and Social Media Assistant for our partner organization, Manchester True Collaborative in Manchester, NH. The Marketing & Social Media Assistant supports Manchester True Collaborative in growing its social media presence and increasing awareness of the organization, LGBTQIA+ community center, programs, events, and resources. The student will work with the Manchester True team to create engaging content, develop social media assets, assist with short-form video, and support digital advertising and promotional efforts.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, creating, and scheduling content across Manchester True social media channels.
- Create social media graphics, promotional assets, and other digital content using tools such as Canva.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to capture and develop short-form video and event content.
- Help promote Manchester True programs, events, resources, fundraising efforts, and community initiatives.
- Support digital advertising campaigns and assist with basic performance tracking and reporting.
- Research social media trends and recommend ideas to improve reach, engagement, and community awareness.
- Help maintain a consistent, welcoming, and inclusive brand voice across digital channels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
- Work study part of financial aid package
- Students with work study may be prioritized
- Reliable transportation
- Interest in marketing, communications, social media, design, video, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort using social media platforms and willingness to learn new digital tools.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with a volunteer-led team.
- Commitment to creating respectful and inclusive content for diverse communities.

Work Schedule

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
