Eco Reps are student leaders who support the Office of Sustainability's mission by promoting sustainable practices, engaging in the campus community, and contributing to sustainability programs and initiatives. This position provides hands-on experience in project management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving while supporting students to build valuable professional skills and advance sustainability efforts at SNHU.

This position provides hands-on supervisory experience in project management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving while supporting students to build valuable professional skills and advance sustainability efforts at SNHU.
Job Position Summary
The Supervisor of Programs & Events Eco Rep provides leadership and operational support for the Office of Sustainability's student engagement initiatives. This position is responsible for helping coordinate sustainability programs, supervising and mentoring fellow Eco Reps during events and projects, and ensuring the successful implementation of educational and engagement activities. The Student Supervisor serves as a student leader and sustainability ambassador who helps cultivate an inclusive, engaging, and impactful sustainability culture across the SNHU community.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing sustainability programs, events, and campaigns.
- Provide peer leadership and mentorship to Eco Reps and student volunteers.
- Support event logistics, scheduling, staffing, setup, facilitation, and breakdown.
- Assist with training, onboarding, and supporting student employees.
- Coordinate communication and task delegation among Eco Rep team members.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Facilitate educational programs, workshops, outreach activities, and campus engagement events.
- Collaborate with campus partners to support sustainability initiatives.
- Collect event participation data, feedback, and impact metrics.
- Assist with assessing program effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a representative of the Office of Sustainability at campus events and meetings.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Current SNHU student in good academic standing.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability, leadership, community engagement, or event planning.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while also leading and collaborating with a team.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable facilitating activities and engaging with diverse groups of students.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and programs.
- Able to support colleagues with attending or working at other events is mandatory- this includes Good Stuff (Winter and last three weeks of classes/week after classes end), Arboretum After Dark in October, Campus Race to Zero Waste
- Drivers license required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Eco Rep, student employee, Resident Assistant, orientation leader, peer mentor, club officer, or similar leadership role.
- Experience planning, coordinating, or facilitating events and programs.
- Experience leading teams, volunteers, or student organizations.
- Knowledge of sustainability concepts and environmental issues.
- Experience with project management, event logistics, or community engagement initiatives.
- Experience collecting participation data, evaluating programs, or preparing reports.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Teams, Forms, Canva, or event management tools.

Work Schedule/Hours
10-20 hours a week based on office needs, minimum of 10 hours a week
Team meeting every other week

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
