The opportunity

The School of Arts, Sciences, and Education's (SASE) Chemistry Program at Southern New Hampshire University is seeking Adjunct Instructors for our General Chemistry Lab. This on-site teaching opportunity will reports to our Associate Dean of SASE and is expected to begin fall 2026 on our Manchester, NH campus. You will need to be available to teach on Tuesdays from 5:00 PM - 7:45 PM

The following lab is available to teach:

CHM120L - General Chemistry I Lab

What you'll do:

  • Teach your courses as scheduled
  • Participate in course content development
  • Access student work and provide feedback
  • Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course

What we're looking for:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Education, or a closely related field required; PhD preferred
  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience teaching or supervising chemistry laboratory activities, including safe laboratory practices, chemical handling, equipment use and maintenance, and chemical waste procedures. Prior teaching experience at the college level preferred.

Compensation

The standard compensation for courses is $2,800 - $3,400 per 16-week undergraduate or graduate course. Actual pay is determined at the time of course assignment based on discipline.
