Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Student Center Assistant for our partner organization Duet, in Boston, MA. The primary function of the Student Center Assistant position is to assist the Operations Manager in maintaining a warm, welcoming, and peaceful space for students to meet with each other and coaches and to get schoolwork done.

Job Responsibilities

  • Clear and sanitize surfaces throughout the space
  • Answer the main phone line
  • Distribute gift cards to students for area restaurants and track gift card distribution
  • Triage inbound student questions and forward students to staff members as needed
  • Be physically present in the space to add to the community overall

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Work study part of financial aid package
  • Students with work study may be prioritized
  • Ideal candidates for the role of Student Center Assistant will have a history of strong verbal and written communication with their coach.

Learning Outcomes (NACE Competencies)

Student Center Assistants will learn how to use Excel functions through resource tracking and will build on their communication skills over the time they are in the role.

Compensation


The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
